README File for FRETSaw ----------------------- Introduction ------------ FRETSaw is an image viewer specifically designed to view pairs of images generated during a FRET experiment. In addition to viewing these images it can also generate a colourised FRET image showing the differences between the two images. Installation ------------ FRETSaw is a java program. In order to run it you must have a suitable Java Runtime Environment installed. If you don't have Java installed you can get it from java.com. Windows: Download the FRETSaw zip file, unzip it and double click the run_fretsaw.bat batch file. OSX: Download the OSX dmg image. Drag the FRETSaw application bundle from the disk image to your Applications folder. Linux: Download the FRETSaw zip file, unzip it and then use the command contained in the run_fretsaw.bat file to create a launcher for whatever desktop environment you use (or use it directly in a shell).
